ScratchList is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding your data when using the ScratchList mobile application.

Data Collection and Storage

ScratchList is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect names, emails, or personal user information on our servers.

• All of your app progress (such as your scratched movies, badges, and pack progress) is stored locally on your device.
• Purchases & Analytics: If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is handled securely by Apple or Google. We use a third-party service called RevenueCat to manage these purchases and grant you access to premium content. To do this, RevenueCat collects an Anonymous User ID and your Purchase History. This data is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely for app functionality (restoring purchases) and basic sales analytics. We never have access to your credit card or payment details.

Push Notifications

ScratchList may send you local push notifications to enhance your experience. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device by the operating system — no data is transmitted to any server, and no personal information is collected or shared as a result.

The following types of notifications may be sent:

• Streak Reminder: A reminder 5 days after your last scratch to help you keep your weekly streak alive.
• Badge Tease: A notification the morning after a scratch when you are 1–3 movies away from earning a badge in a pack.
• Re-engagement: A friendly nudge if you haven't opened the app in 14 days.
• First Scratch Celebration: A celebratory message sent on the evening of your very first scratch.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → ScratchList.

Third-Party Services (Gemini API)

During development and content generation (such as creating the artwork and trivia for the app), we utilize the Gemini API. However, no user data or personal information is sent to the Gemini API or any other AI service through your use of the ScratchList application. The app relies on static data packaged with the installation.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if the functionality of the app changes. We will notify you of any changes by updating the new Privacy Policy on this page.
